Questions Parents Ask
Which Avesa toys need batteries?
The three ocean projectors and the music mat do. Projectors take three AA cells, which are not in the box. The barn, the sensory box and the letter board have no electronics at all.
Can the fabric toys go in a washing machine?
The sensory box and the barn set are made to be washed. Use a cool cycle in a laundry bag and let them air dry; the reinforced seams hold their shape through it. Avoid a tumble dryer, which flattens the plush.
How loud do the projectors get?
The newest projector has five volume steps and the other two are continuously adjustable. The lowest setting on all three is quiet enough to leave running next to a cot. The top setting is intended for a room with older children in it.
The age ranges overlap. Which one do I actually buy?
Buy for the skill, not the number. If a baby is not yet reaching, pick something that moves and lights up. If they are emptying containers, pick the barn or the box. If they are walking, pick the mat.
Is the letter board suitable for a baby?
No. It is a tracing tool for a child who can hold a stylus, which in practice means three and up. Below that it is a panel of beads with nothing to do.
Do you sell direct?
No. Everything goes through our storefront on the partner store, which holds the stock and handles delivery, returns and any warranty question.
Can I buy one as a gift and have it sent straight to someone?
Yes, through the store's own gift options at checkout. Choose the gift receipt and the price is left off the packing slip.
Something is missing from a set. What now?
Write to us with the order number and the missing piece. Replacement animals, drumsticks and styluses are held for exactly this and we arrange them through the store rather than asking you to return the set.
